Kerry ‘Shakaboona’ Marshall was sentenced to die behind bars when he was 17. Now he’s a leader in the movement to end mass incarceration. In a little over a month he will be resentenced.
Join us Saturday, March 24th at 1 PM for a unique art exhibit that charts the evolution of Shakaboona’s life from a troubled teen to a caring community minded individual and strong human rights advocate. Then at 3 PM we will convene an assembly where, in honor of Shakaboona’s steadfast commitment to human rights advocacy, people can speak out about human rights issues facing our communities and the need to bring Shakaboona and many other lifers just like him home. Lets build the movement. Lets bring them home.
