G-LAW is a powerful activist who uses various kinds of street theater and dramatic actions to call attention to the ways mass incarceration impacts people, particularly young people in Philadelphia. This February, for the 4th year in a row, G-LAW is attempting to build a prison cell and live in it for the month of February to call attention to these issuesGLAW

This year, it is also part of his new Fight Hate With Love campaign, which aims to tie demands for an end to mass  incarceration with a call to stop the violence in neighborhoods around Philly. As G-LAW told us, "It’s
warmer in this cold prison cell than it is in my neighborhood. This is the only prison cell built in the country designed to keep people out. This is the living representation of everything that can happen if you make one bad decision. Decarcerate, break every chain.”
