The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that mandatory Juvenile Life Without Parole sentences are unconstitutional, but the state has failed to provide meaningful relief for the 500 people in Pennsylvania already serving this sentence. In honor of Mother's Day, we are calling on Pennsylvania to end Juvenile Life Without Parole/Death By Incarceration. We are calling on state and city officials to create space for healing, redemption and compassion by following recent U.S. Supreme Court rulings and providing immediate relief.

PhillyCAM was gracious enough to let us use their equipment and their space while young people from the Art Factory planned, filmed, recorded and edited the 3 videos. Decarcerate PA helped clear up the clouds by talking more about what we do as well as the political and community results and consequences of mass incarceration.
Decarcerate PA and a diverse coalition of supporting organizations announced today that they will march over a hundred miles from Philadelphia to Harrisburg to demand a budget that invests in Pennsylvania’s communities and not in unnecessary, unwanted prison construction. In order to emphasize their call for smarter funding priorities, speakers “broke ground” on a better Pennsylvania.
